FAQ'S
Please feel free to get in touch with any specific questions you may have about working with me!
Three times per week should be sufficient for you to start feeling and seeing results. Although, like anything, the more you put in the more you will get out! My clients tend to get the best results when I train with them for each of the three sessions per week, but it is of course possible to train independently and to follow my training programmes.
A mixture of weights (dumbbells and kettlebells), resistance bands, skipping ropes, foam rollers, TXR, medicine balls, swiss balls etc… I try to keep sessions as varied as possible by incorporating lots of different equipment. Each session is designed and tailored to the individual client.
There is no ‘should’ – you can achieve results working out in a gym, in the park, or at home. It is more a matter of availability, personal preference and convenience for you.
A personal training session will normally last for one hour. The session will involve a warm-up followed by your main training programme where we will focus on your goals by using a mixture of cardiovascular and HIIT, flexibility, and strength & conditioning exercises. Finally, there will be a cool down and stretch period. Programmes will vary from one session to the next according to your goals, fitness levels and progression. The session will also include a discussion around your nutrition goals, as well as some nutritional health coaching.
This is an opportunity for me to really get to know YOU. Before we start training together, it is important that I understand your needs, goals and aspirations. Prior to the consultation, I will ask you to complete a questionnaire. The questionnaire will asks questions relating to your basic personal details, medical background, fitness background, lifestyle and professional life, current diet and nutritional habits, personal goals etc.. I will then review your answers and ask you some further questions during our consultation. This will enable me to create a programme to suit you and your needs. This also gives you the opportunity to ask me any questions, raise any queries and ensure I am the right trainer for you!
Depending on your recent fitness and exercise programmes (or lack of), I may ask you for a certificate if I believe that medical conditions and/or past injuries will affect your participation in a training session. If you are under the care of a doctor for any reason or if you are over 40 and starting exercise for the first time, I will ask you to see your doctor to obtain their clearance first. It is always worthwhile having your blood pressure checked prior to any training programme.
No! Absolutely not! I am all about balance and creating a specific lifestyle for you. Food and wellbeing is not a race, it is a journey. We want to make healthy changes to your diet that are sustainable. I do not believe in crash diets!
Because I am one! I therefore understand how the female body works and how the body responds to various training programmes and food programmes! I am passionate about empowering women to make them feel stronger, more confident and happier within themselves. I have tried and tested every single training programme which I have designed so I am confident that my methods work for women.
